1. General
A. Company: The term "company" refers to Turf Taxi, with ABN 83939203287.
B. Customer: The "customer" refers to any person or business contracting with the company for products or services.
C. Delivery: Delivery refers to the transportation of products by the company or any subcontractors hired by the company.
D. These terms may only be changed in writing and must be signed by the company. By submitting an order online or in writing, you agree to these conditions.
E. Turf Taxi acts as a booking and delivery agent. We work with turf suppliers to negotiate the best price for you. However, if the supplier increases the price before delivery, you, as the customer, are responsible for paying the difference. We will contact you to inform you of any price changes, and you will have the option to either pay the additional cost or cancel your order.
2. Supply of Products
A. Product Appearance: We cannot guarantee that the appearance or colour of products shown on our website will exactly match the physical products. Natural products, like turf, may vary in colour depending on the season, weather, and rainfall.
B. Turf Information: Turf is cut to order, either the day before or the morning of delivery. To avoid damage like pallet burn or browning, we recommend laying the turf on the same day it is delivered.
C. Seasonal Changes: The farm, located in the Beaudesert/Jimboomba region, can experience frost during winter, causing the turf to brown. This is normal for A-grade turf, and it will recover once proper care is given, such as applying fertilizer and watering.
D. Weeds and Grubs: We treat the turf for weeds and grubs, but occasional issues may still occur due to natural factors like birds. If you find weeds or grubs, treat them with appropriate lawn care products.
E. Damage to Turf: Turf may rip, tear, or have holes due to cutting, delivery, or handling. While this does not affect the turf's growth, it may impact its appearance until it becomes established.
F. Weight and Size: Turf can vary in weight and moisture content. We recommend that at least two people handle the turf to prevent injury. Turf rolls measure 1 sqm, and turf slabs measure 0.7 sqm. Please allow an additional 10% for cuts, shaping, and wastage.
G. Pricing and Refunds: Unless expressly stated otherwise, all quoted prices for turf supply and related products are inclusive of delivery charges. In the event of a discrepancy with the turf supplied, any refund issued will be strictly limited to the cost of the turf itself, calculated based on the price per square meter paid by Turf Taxi for the specific order on the date of purchase.
3. Delivery
A. Delivery Timing: We will make every effort to deliver at the estimated time and date. However, if we are unable to deliver at that time, we are not liable for any damages or delays.
B. Delivery Conditions: Access to the delivery site must be free from obstructions and suitable for the delivery vehicle. Delivery can only be made on smooth surfaces such as concrete or tarmac, not gravel.
C. Small Orders: For orders less than 100 sqm, we will hand-deliver the turf from the side and rear of the vehicle. Delivery is made to the kerbside or an accessible driveway, as determined by the driver.
D. Access Issues: If access is blocked or the delivery cannot be made, additional costs may apply. If delivery cannot be completed due to access problems, the order will be returned to the farm, and the customer will be responsible for the full cost of the order. The customer can arrange for self-collection within 24 hours of the failed delivery attempt.
E. Liability for Property Damage: The company is not liable for any damage to property during delivery. If you need the vehicle and trailer to be on your property, you are responsible for ensuring that access routes are clear and safe.
F. Confirmation: The company will confirm delivery schedules, usually the day before by text. If delivery is not possible, we reserve the right to cancel or reschedule the order.
G. Acceptance of Delivery: The customer, or someone appointed by the customer, should be present to accept the delivery or agree on a drop-off location. The driver is not responsible for carrying the turf to another location on the property.
4. Cancellation/Returns Policy
A. Cancellation Rights: The customer has the right to cancel the order. Cancellations must be made in writing at least 4 days before the scheduled delivery date to avoid any charges. Cancellations are not accepted by phone. Cancellations should be sent via email to turftaxi@outlook.com
B. Returns and Complaints: Any complaints must be made in writing within 12 hours of delivery. The customer is responsible for returning the order at their own expense. Alternatively, we can arrange for collection, and the cost will be deducted from the refund.
C. Dissatisfaction: If the customer is dissatisfied, the turf must be returned to the supplying farm the next day, untouched, for assessment by the farm manager. Turf needs proper conditions (e.g., correct soil, preparation, and watering) to establish.
D. Cancellation Fees: Cancellations made within 2 days of delivery will incur the full cost of the order. Orders scheduled for Monday require at least 4 days' notice to cancel, as the farm is closed on weekends. Cancellations outside of the time frame will incur a 20% administrative fee.
E. Outstanding Payments: Any unpaid fees will be pursued legally, including all associated legal costs.
F. Supplier Availability: If the turf supplier cannot fulfill an order, the company may either cancel or reschedule the order.
G. Disputes: Any disputes not settled through normal business practices will be referred to an arbitrator.
5. Order Amendments
A. Any amendments to an order must be requested by the customer and agreed upon by the company at least 48 hours before the scheduled delivery.
6. Working Days & Delivery Times
A. Working Days: Our working days are Monday to Friday, from 8am to 4pm. Weekends and public holidays are not working days, though deliveries may be possible for an additional fee.
B. Delivery Hours: Deliveries generally take place between 7am and 5pm. Delivery times cannot be requested. The estimated time will be confirmed by text the day before, but this is only an estimate and may change due to various circumstances.
C. Delivery Delays: If you do not receive a text the evening before your delivery, please contact us to confirm the schedule.
